HE gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

(Isaiah 40:29-30)

Our role at Shalom House is to provide a place for pastors to relax, refresh, and refocus. We want to uphold you in your call by offering a retreat from the pressure cooker of ministry. You can use your time away to meet your greatest need whether it is to read, think, study, listen to God's voice, or reconnect with family.

Relax . . .
The demands on the life of a pastor and his family are often endless. Perhaps you need a place to go for rest; where you can sleep until noon, take a walk in the woods, or just sit in the hot tub and relax!

Hold your next leadership meeting or small group retreat in a beautiful, quiet atmosphere, surrounded by God's creation.

Refresh . . .
Jesus took time to renew and refresh Himself. How would you like a time away to read, think, and pray, with no one making demands on your time and energy?

A bed-and-breakfast ambience with indoor pool, hot tub, and game room is ideal for families to enjoy.

Re:Focus. . .
Maybe you need more than relaxation and renewal. Perhaps you're at a point in your ministry where you are no longer sure of your calling or direction. We have a complete crisis care program that can be tailored to you and your family's specific needs. Come rethink the past and make plans for the future - with a new hope, vision, and purpose.
Re:Focus is an interactive workshop, based on a simple, biblical, four-step integrated process.

  • Re:Focus on God's purpose for the church, not our own.
  • Re:Focus on doing the right things for the right reasons by developing priority management.
  • Re:Focus on spiritual gifts and personality types to find a missing link in our personal development.
  • Re:Focus on biblical conflict management and team building to understand how and why we need to build teams, as well as how we function, in order to maximize our effectiveness.
